“Going to Basingstoke has helped me a lot because of the environment and the support I have received from everyone. I was aiming for around the top 20, which would have won $ 10,000, but it was very surprising to finish in the top four.

“It would be one of my biggest goals to qualify for the next Fortnite World Cup (the biggest event), but unfortunately they can’t host one in the meantime because of Covid.”

His proud father Lee explained that he is currently at level two of the Fortnite power rating system, but is third in the UK and in the top 50 in Europe, so “that’s just a question. long before it gets to level one “.

Lee added: “Reuben has been playing the game since its release and after doing well in the first round of smaller-scale tournaments he has participated in, the Covid-19 lockdown has given him the opportunity to try out some of the more big tournaments.
