FaZe Jarvis game configuration: headset, mouse, keyboard, etc.

Jarvis “FaZe Jarvis” Khattri is a British YouTuber and Streamer who started acting Call of Duty Black Ops 2 before moving on to Fortnite.

During his career, FaZe Jarvis had several controversies, including a lifetime ban from Fortnite. The ban resulted from FaZe Jarvis using aimbot tricks during a live Twitch stream, which violated Epic Games’ Terms of Service.

Despite his Fortnite and the Twitch ban, FaZe Jarvis is still a prolific YouTuber with over 4.8 million subscribers. He also has a channel with his older brother and competes in events like the YouTubers vs Tiktokers boxing match.

Here is FaZe Jarvis’ streaming setup.

The SteelSeries Arctis 5 is a virtual 7.1 surround headset compatible with many devices, including PCs, consoles and mobile phones. Virtual 7.1 surround sound requires a USB-A sound card and only works on PC, so console and mobile users need to use a 3.5mm cable and be content with stereo sound.

SteelSeries helmets have a simple design, and the Arctis 5 is no different with large plastic ear cups that feature an oval light strip. There’s a Discord-certified retractable microphone built into the left ear cup, and it also houses the volume wheel and mute button. To get the most out of this headset, PC users should install the SteelSeries Engine 3 app, which enables several advanced sound profiles and settings.

Mouse

XM1 Endgame Gear

The Endgame Gear XM1 is a lightweight mouse designed for competitive gaming. Instead of having a honeycomb exterior like many lightweight rivals, it has a conventional look and still weighs 70 grams. One of the ways to achieve its light weight is to have a basic five button design. The XM1 only has the usual left and right click buttons with two side buttons on the left side and a scroll wheel.

Despite its basic design, the XM1 has high quality components. It has a Pixart PMW3389 sensor that goes up to 16,000 CPI. Omron switches are responsive and have an estimated lifespan of around 50 million clicks.

Many professionals use Keyless Keyboards (TKLs) for their compact size and mechanical switches. Razer’s Huntsman Tournament Edition TKL goes one step further by including optical switches. Optical switches have fewer moving parts than mechanical switches and are actuated by a light beam passing through them when the button is pressed. The main advantages of optical switches are faster response times and longer life compared to conventional mechanical switches.

Besides the innovative switches, the Huntsman Tournament Edition TKL has exceptional build quality. It features a sturdy aluminum top plate and a detachable USB-C cable. The keys are made of double injection PBT plastic, which is fade resistant and has better durability than ABS plastic.

FaZe Jarvis uses the Alienware 25 AW2518H. This monitor is no longer the fastest, but it can still compete with many current monitors. It features a 25-inch twisted nematic (TN) panel with 1080p resolution and 240Hz refresh rate. The AW2518H also has a one-millisecond response time and built-in G-Sync compatibility.

Like most Alienware products, the AW2518H uses the company’s Legend design language. It has a two-tone finish, the front side having a matte black finish and the back side a gray finish with discreet RGB lighting. Connectivity options include a DisplayPort 1.2 port, an HDMI 1.4 port, and a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack. There is also a USB upstream port going to the PC and three USB downstream ports for connecting other devices.

As the name suggests, the Xbox Elite Wireless is a premium controller that works on a variety of devices, including Xbox consoles, Android devices, as well as iOS and Windows operating systems. While it looks like regular Xbox controllers, the Elite is differentiated by blackened buttons and silver trim.

One of the notable features of the Elite Wireless is its interchangeable parts. Many parts of the controller are interchangeable and it comes with six replacement controllers, two D-pads, and four paddles. Users can also remap buttons and set different profiles using the Elite app. While some vendors may have the Xbox Elite Wireless in stock, most are already selling the newer version of Series 2.

FaZe Jarvis uses the Logitech Brio Ultra HD to record his videos. This webcam can record up to 4K UHD at 30 frames per second (fps). Users can also record Full HD 1080p at 30 or 60 fps or 720p at 90, 60 and 30 fps. The Brio Ultra HD also offers three fields of view, including 65, 78 and 90 degrees diagonal, and it has a five times HD zoom function.

Sound quality is just as important as picture quality when recording, and the Brio Ultra HD features dual omni-directional noise-canceling microphones to keep voices clear.

One of the most advanced features of the Brio Ultra HD is facial recognition technology that works with Windows Hello to add another level of security.

The Asus ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2080TI-O11G was one of the high-end GPUs until the release of the new 30 Series. Despite using Nvidia’s old Turing architecture, the RTX 2080TI-O11G is still Powerful enough to run demanding games and handle 4K resolution and ray tracing.

To handle the graphics-intensive modern games, the RTX 2080TI-O11G features 11 GB of GDDR6 memory and a base clock speed of 1350 MHz that reaches 1665 MHz when overclocked. There is also no shortage of connectivity options with two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, two HDMI 2.0 ports and a USB-C port.

CPU

Intel Core i9-9900K

Like the RTX 2080TI-O11G, the i9-9900K is a high-end component of an older generation. Intel processors may be 11th gen now, but the ninth gen i9-9900K still has what it takes to easily launch many games.

This processor operates at 3.60 GHz and can overclock to 5.00 GHz. It also has an eight-core processor with 16 threads. Although the Core i9-9900K is still available, it uses the older LGA 1151 socket, so it is not compatible with the latest LGA 1200 motherboards.

Microphone

Audio-Technica AT2020USB +

Audio-Technica’s AT2020USB + is a popular microphone used by streamers like FaZe Jarvis, Dubs, and ImperialHal. As a cardioid condenser microphone, the AT2020USB + is designed for voice capture and filtering out background noise. The mic does this by picking up sound directly in front of the microphone and ignoring other directions. Another advantage of the AT2020USB + is its steel construction which increases its durability.

Unlike some microphones which work with an XLR connection, the AT2020USB + has a USB connection which works best with PCs. It is easy to connect and works with a wide range of audio programs.
