How to Create the Ultimate PC Gaming Setup

PC gaming is undeniably one of the coolest corners of tech today. Between the ever increasing number of consumer cores processors and a higher computing power of graphics cards, computers are more powerful than ever. And, beyond the towers of power, gaming monitors are only getting bigger, gaming peripherals are going wireless, and virtual reality is becoming more and more ubiquitous.

When you add all of these factors together, there has never been a better time to play PC. Just to illustrate this, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to put together the ultimate PC gaming setup with the best and coolest gear you can put together.

Every great PC gaming setup is built on an altar, and the Evodesk gaming desk serves as the foundation of ours. Not for bragging rights, but we couldn’t imagine a better PC than ours ultimate mini gaming pc. Just to catch up with you on our build, we set out to create the most impressive Mini-ITX computer we could ever build. Basically, it has a powerful combo of an Intel Core i5-8600K Coffee Lake processor and the latest GTX 1070 Ti. On top of that, we packed in fast DDR4 RAM, 4TB (!) Of solid-state storage, and a ton of RGB lighting.

Monitor: Alienware 34 Curved Gaming Monitor

Alienware is a relatively new player in the gaming monitor world, but it has come out with some of the fastest monitors out there. What we’ve chosen here is a 34-inch WQHD (3440 x 1440) ultra-wide curved monitor with a 120Hz refresh rate. Alienware 34 Curved Gaming Monitor is one of the few displays on the market that lets you play games with a cinematic 21: 9 aspect ratio and extremely high frame rates at the same time.

Gaming keyboard: Logitech G613

While there are practically thousands of mechanical gaming keyboards to choose from, the Logitech G613 is one of the few that is completely wireless. Not only is the lag nonexistent, but this gaming keyboard has all the tactile feel, media buttons, and macro keys we need.

Gaming mouse: Logitech G603

Since our entire gaming desk is essentially a mouse pad, a wireless mouse was a no-brainer. With its two low and high working modes, we can take advantage of its long battery life for occasional computing and then switch to high performance while playing.

Gaming headset: Astro A50

Keeping with the wireless theme, the Astro A50 is our go-to gaming headset. We haven’t felt a more comfortable gaming headset that we can wear for hours. The Astro A50 also comes with one of the most stylish bases that acts as an audio hub, charging station, and headphone holder all in one.

Speakers: Logitech MX Sound

While we normally like to play all of our PC games with headphones, sometimes it’s more comfortable to use a solid set of speakers. The Logitech MX Sound is a feat of engineering that packs the power of much larger speakers into a tiny package with fewer wires than other systems. Plus, Bluetooth connectivity makes it easy to pair MX Sound with phones.

VR headset: Oculus Rift + Touch

The HTC Vive Pro may be on the way, but the Oculus Rift remains the most refined and affordable virtual reality headset on the market. The Oculus Rift and Touch controller bundle comes with everything you need to get out of the box, including headphones attached to the headset, two motion tracking cameras, and a pair of super comfortable motion controllers.

Live webcam: Razer Kiyo

At this point, PC gaming and streaming are inextricably linked, so we’ve chosen to include one of the best web cameras for live video. This 4MP webcam captures 1080p videos and, in addition to its ability to automatically create a green screen around you, the Kiyo comes with its own built-in ring light to perfectly illuminate you.

Live broadcast mic: Razer Seiren X

You’re going to want a crisp microphone to go along with your high-quality webcam, and we can’t imagine anything better than the Razer Seiren X. With super cardioid polar pattern, this condenser microphone records sound from a narrower cone to reduce. unwanted background noise. Overall, it does a great, but not exceptional, job of capturing clear audio compared to the proven Blue Yeti mic, but we’ll be taking a slight hit on audio quality for the significantly better portability of the Seiren X.
